Hello everyone! I am glad to be here telling a little about myself. Everyone knows me by my smile, my love of food and travel, and I am in this business since 2012.

 

Before I write up about myself, I did some reading on my friends’ drafts and I realised I do not have many touching life stories to share with you. Growing up in a big family and being the youngest, I had quite a protective childhood, and led a carefree life. I do not hear much about illnesses (until I joined this businessJ), as you will soon understand my situation: I have a very healthy 93-year-old Dad, and equally healthy relatives. Therefore, compared to my peers, I have less to share about life events, however, what I do have and probably not less is the compassion and empathy towards people I met. And that could be the very reason I ended up in this career. 

 

I always believe in insurance but just like any of you, I didn’t do much about it until I witnessed someone close suffered a stage-3 breast cancer. And she easily spent her saving of S$800,000 as she does not have any insurance. That hit me and I question myself what kind of a person if I don’t do anything about it. I do not wish to see anyone in my circle suffer. I only wish to see my friends and family healthy and prosperous. Only if I could speak to and convince one person, one family, or one organisation at a time to have sufficient insurance coverage, I believe we would have a better solution and a better tomorrow.
