About Me
My Humble Beginning
Born into kumpung off Old Jurong Road in the 70’s, I was tasked to assist in the farm since a tender age of six. This farm business comprises of dog breeding, raring of chickens for their eggs and two large orchid farms. Besides being the dogs’ main caregiver, I was also in charge of feeding the chicken and taking care of the orchids and fruit trees that grew on the farm.
As a result of embracing responsibility at such a young age, I have developed a strong work ethic that has since become my lifestyle.
My work with the animals has also taught me compassion, and most importantly, I learned to be grateful in all circumstances.
My parents also run another food business in Macpherson Road. When we eventually moved out of the farm in 1986, I started helping out in the food business. At first, as a waiter and eventually becoming the chief cook.
All these experience since young has inspired me to have the desire to live a life of significance, embracing a 5G life — Gratitude, Greatness, Generosity, Growth, and becoming a Good-finder.
There is a saying, “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
However, I want to do more than just teaching a man how to fish. I seek to lead and empower the man to discover for himself why he needs to fish, and in doing so, leave behind a legacy that develops from a life dedicated to helping others.
I live by my personal Mission Statement of creating a positive impact, directly and indirectly, on 100,000 people each year. How do I seek to achieve this? First by seeing and recognising the values in the people i meet. Second, by adding values to their lives, and thirdly, by helping them to recognise and add values to the lives of others.
By doing so on a consistent basis, I believe I will be living a legacy.
My Bio Data
Stuart Shee began his Life’s Great Journey with Great Eastern Life Singapore in 1996. He is married to Nancy and has two lovely children, Myra and Egan.
After 5 years into a relatively success sales career with 4 MDRT qualifications, he ventured into agency management and founded Advisors in-Sync.
Advisors in-Sync, an agency of excellence driven by leaders dedicated to empowering lives, started as a unit with Advisors Alliance in 2002. And in January 2007, it was officially recognized as an agency. Since then, he has groomed two directors, and with more 60% of the planners are either past or present qualifiers of the company's Achievers' Club award. He has also produced 8 direct MDRT Members and mentored many others, locally and globally. He proudly holds the company’s record for being the Top Manager in Regular Premiums for four consecutive years and a back-to-back Top Overall Manager in Sales. His appointment to his current rank of Executive Director, Financial Services (renamed Senior Director), since 2010, speaks well of his accomplishments in agency management and leadership role.
Stuart Shee, a MDRT Life Member, plays an active role in the industry and community. Some of which are: MDRT IMCC Zone Chair, Ifpas National Congress Organizing Committee, and Non-Resident Fellow for Sheares Hall of Residence in The National University of Singapore.
A highly regarded speaker, Stuart has spoken internationally on various Sales and Agency Leadership platforms, which also include 2015, 2016 and 2019 MDRT Annual Meetings, 2019 APLIC, the World Critical Illness Congress in 2005 and 2006, as well as other various MDRT Days and sales conferences in over 50 cities in 16 different countries. An Associate trainer with The Kinder Brothers International (KBI) and Leadership Management International (LMI), he also conducts workshops on Sales, Leadership and Master Agency Building.
He has penned a book about his life, entitled, “Work of Heart”.
